Hi there stranger!
Wondering who I am huh? Well, then let me tell you!
My name is Julie, and I was born in Oslo, Norway. I knew from a young age (12 actually) what I wanted to be when I grew up, which was working with web technology and especially designing and developing websites.
I’ve also have a passion for traveling and languages. I
traveling to other countries, and exploring their culture. One way to discover a country’s culture is by studying it’s language. Which is one of many reasons as to why I am currently studying Japanese! I absolutely
Japan, and fell completely for it when I went there for 4 (or was it 3?) weeks in 2007.
I traveled to several cities in Japan, and I loved every second of it. Well, except the 10 minutes I spent inside a temple ground next to a pond looking at fish — got bitten badly by mosquitoes! Other than that, loved it!
I’m currently studying Japanese with a private tutor, and I’m loving that too! My Japanese sensei (teacher) is really nice, and good at teaching.
Another favourite country of mine is Thailand. It’s like my home away from home! My best friend, Warunee, is from Thailand and her family lives there, so we usually visit them every summer.
How can you not love a country with food stalls on every corner at almost any time of the day, for the price of nothing, but still SOOO good!
Thailand is a country with a rich culture, and I enjoy traveling around in Thailand to explore more of it. Too bad there’s a big language barrier, they don’t speak/know much English, and my Thai is horrible! I want to learn Thai though, so every year we go, we learn a few more words and phrases! I can now order hot/cold
, in small or large, and I can count to practically 10 000! It’ll go slow, but hey, some is better than nothing!
